Things to keep in mind while installing a projector

Things to keep in mind while installing a projectorSo you have finally bought a home theater projector and joined the club of the Big Boys but wait, you are clueless about the installation process? Well, you are not alone. Installation of a projector isn’t something everyone is familiar with and hence relax and don’t worry about how you will get through the process.  A projector can be a great addition to your home or office but it must be installed absolutely correctly to ensure smooth functioning. The following are a few tips and suggestions which will help you install your projector:

Hire an installer

Well, if you wish to save your time and avoid going through the entire process on your own, then the best and easiest things to do is to hire an installer. Most sellers send their own installers to help customers install these devices wherever they wish to. If that hasn’t been the case for you, you can always contact a projector installation A/V company or servicemen who might just do the trick for you.

Find the perfect location

Whether you do it on your own or hire a person to help you with the task, figuring out where to place the projector and the screen is something really crucial. There must be a certain distance between the two and hence you must find a location which can allow that amount of distance to be maintained.  Projector is best kept away from the viewing position and should be placed in a room where total darkness can be achieved for the best results.

Cabling

Cabling is an important aspect of installing or setting up the projector. If you hire someone for the job, then the cabling will be taken care of but if you are doing it on your own, then you would probably need to know thing or two about it.  HDMI cables which can handle 1080p videos up to 60 feet work best combined with CAT6 cables.

Sound

A projector is pretty much useless if you don’t have the right sound system to go with it.  Of course, there is the option of using internal speakers for your projectors but if that isn’t the case, you must think of buying speakers that are big enough to let the sound reach the entire room and its audience.  Place the speakers in such a way that the sound is clear to everyone.

Ceiling mount

One great way to place your projector so that it does not cause any hindrance is to go the ceiling route. Ceiling mount is the most popular way of installing a projector and works well for most settings and purposes.

Installing a projector can be fun if you have been involved in installation of electronics etc. in the past but if not, then it is advisable to hire someone to do the job for you.  If you are looking for a short throw lcd projector, a long throw LCD projector as well as someone to install them for you, you can visit leaguetechnologies.com.
